Slim and athletic, with brown hair and eyes. When not in uniform or riding her bike, she generally wears blue jeans and her favorite pair of boots. She has a number of small religious symbol tattoos scattered on her body.

Kait is generally a no nonsense person both on and off the job, with a habit of long standing grudges. She outwardly hates disrespect in any form, although can sometimes be hypocritical in that she doesn't always show others due respect. This especially comes out in confrontations she has had with superiors as she regards her 'Original Authority' to come before the chain of command.

Internally Kait is far more fragile and genuinely tries to see the best in everyone and everything; however the experiences she's encountered whilst in the police force have continued to beat these better hopes and dreams down. In addition, the recent break-up of her one and only relationship after six years has also worked to hardened her and she has unknowingly developed a fear of commitment and rejection.

She is very outgoing privately with friends however, although not to the true extent of her vulnerability and enjoys a number of team sports and can also be found having some friendly games of pool with her friends and co-workers after her shift ends.

One of the most important things in her life is her 'showcat' Mason, who she bi-annually takes to various high profile cat shows and also offers Mason's services as a stud cat. She maintains that Mason is only a hobby and has no intentions to become a crazy old cat lady.

Kait is the oldest daughter of Barnabas and Louise Collins and has a younger sister named Mandy. She also had an older brother named Max who died of a drug overdose. Her father is the brother of Nicolette Collins and uncle to her three children, whom Kait and her older brother spent time with in their childhood.

Scott Archer - Kaitlin met Scott through her cousin Travis, the two mesh well and have joked about the stigma that comes with living the 'bisexual life', she really wants to build a strong relationship with Scott, although she isn't interested in him romantically. That said she's noticed the way Scott looks at her cousin and worked out he has a crush on Travis.

Henry Rodriguez - Kaitlin met Henry upon joining the Pleasant Port police force, she respects him for his attitute towards the job, although his recent attitude regarding a witness has soured this somewhat. They have been working closely together over the recent murders after he accepted her as part of his task force due to her experience back in Boston. His opposition towards her theories and methods during the investigations has currently put them at odds. The few times they've spent together outside of work have allowed the two to discover the similar history they share.

Activities: Soccer, hockey, extreme mountain biking, cycling, a variety of martial arts, swimming, professionally showing her cat in competitions.
