Kate was an angry person, she was an alcoholic, and getting married to her ex husband Andrew was a mistake, as well as both of her children. She was also a violent person, but that was before going to court ordered rehabilitation, as well as mandatory AA meetings.

Kate grew up in West Texas, and never dreamed of marrying anyone not from there. She met Andrew at a local bar, and fell in love with him over time. Andrew was from Pleasant Port, and once he found that his new bride was carrying his baby, moved them back there. Things took a turn for the worse. Kate hated Pleasant Port, so she turned to alcohol and methanphedamines after her first child was born. She then became accidentally pregnant with Maddy, and once the girls were getting older, they were getting out of control. Hitting them was all she knew how to do to stop them from getting out of hand. When the police were called one fateful night, she was taken to jail for domestic abuse. Once she was sentenced with court ordered rehab and AA meetings, she has begun to clean up her act. Unfortunately, she isn't allowed to leave, because she is still on probation.

Her ex husband, Andrew, who she despises, and also two daughters, Chloe and Maddy, who she does not like either.
