Manuel is an active child, but a quiet one. He really only speaks in front of people he's very comfortable with or to his father. He is not a shy child, but learned from his mother that he should be seen and not heard.

Manuel was born in Hartford Connecticut to his father Brady and his mother Bree. He new from a very early age his father adored him and his mother tolerated him because she’d given birth to him. He was only happy as a child when his father was home, as then the verbal abuse heaped on him by his mother stopped.

When his parents divorced his father was even busier and Manuel rarely saw him. Then his father got very sick and had to stay in bed. Now that they have moved, Manuel checks every day to make sure his father is okay so he knows that he won’t have to move in with his mother.

Adela Martinez- A close friend of his father, Manuel thinks his father should marry her.
Norah Parker-Manuel really likes Norah and is always excited when she comes to babysit him. Norah is one of the few in town to whom he speaks.
Elizabeth Hall- Manuel loves Dr. Hall and she is one of the few adults that he actually speaks too.
Scott Archer Manuel likes Scott a lot. He named his Irish terrier after him. He was sad when threy had to leave, but he's happy to be back now.
