Scott is extremely trusting of people, sometimes to a fault. He doesn't usually think about what he's saying. Therefore, he can be blunt at times. More often than not, he ends up running off at the mouth where he segues from topic to topic. Random things tend to come out of his mouth and he doesn't realize just how offtopic they are. To him, they're just a topic of conversation. He's also very naive and tends to say things at times that can be understood completely differently from how he meant them.

Even as a child, Scott had no trouble speaking his mind and asking the questions he had. The fact that his family was so open about emotions added to his already outgoing personality. Though his family is very earthy, even they get concerned with how low his standard of living is sometimes. While he does believe in living 'earthy', part of the way he lives probably stems from the fact that he can be lazy.

Scott did well in school, but it wasn't from applying himself. He just seemed to pick up things quickly. When he was younger and first started becoming interested in the opposite sex, he was quick to exchange affection. He had a couple of girlfriends and friends who he made out with and fooled around with before he decided to experiment with sex. After that experience, if a girl was nice to him and made him feel loved, he was usually so touched that he would be willing to have sex with her. Even if it was just a small gesture, it was easy for them to get him to have sex if they wanted to.

Due to this fact, he gained a bit of a bad reputation in high school. This left him brokenhearted several times after he slept with a girl who he deeply cared for, only to later find out that she had just used him as a one-night stand. Despite this fact, he still tends to be easy.

It wasn't until he was a senior in high school and Travis started attending college that he realized that he was also interested in guys. Initially he thought it was because with going to different schools the two couldn't hang out as much. Over time he discovered that it was more.
