Name: Travis Collins
The Meaning of his name Travis is around 6'4 and has hazel eyes. His brown hair is at the awkward in between stage. He pretty much keeps it that way, because he doesn't want his hair too long or too short. As he's more interested in being behind the camera than in front of it, he doesn't care much about his looks. He usually just throws on a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Even though he doesn't care about what he wears, he still cares about hygiene. He doesn't have any tattoos or piercings, but his sister is trying to talk him into getting a tattoo with her. While he was never really the athletic type, he does have a few scars on his body from sports and random falls when he was a child.
![]() Travis is the type of guy who trusts people unless they give him a reason not to. However, once you cross Travis the wrong way, it can sometimes be hard to win his trust back. He believes in that saying - "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." In all of life, he tries not to make the same mistake twice, and that goes for his personal relationships as well. How hard it is to win back his trust is based on how badly you burned him.
He can be kind of shy and at times fumbles over his words. But once he gets to know you, he usually comes out of his shell. He usually drinks a little to assist him in that, because he hates being a wallflower. He loves to meet people, but sometimes lacks the self-confidence that's needed to actually get things rolling. He's very accepting of people and doesn't like to judge based on stereotypes. He prefers to let his experience guide his opinions.
As a child, Travis was always the shyer twin. He took longer to speak, because Riley would usually speak for him, or coach him as to what he should say. Despite getting involved in sports, he never fully got excited about them. He enjoyed playing, but he just didn't got really competitive like the other kids seemed to get. He was happy just playing, no matter how concerned his mother grew that he wasn't 'normal'. In school, Travis was content being the quiet kid in the back of the class. He had a small group of friends. It wasn't until college when he began to drink socially that he started going to parties more often and socializing more with people. Though his grades weren't excellent, he did behave and he usually tried to do well in school. It was for that reason that - since the twins were separated throughout school - most teachers hoped that they would get Travis. While he received some help from tutors, most of his accomplishments are due to his own hard work. However, at times he's known to overextend himself, especially when it comes to helping others. He has a tendency to become a doormat and a pushover.

The Collins family consists of Ripley Wyatt, Nicolette Collins, Nick Collins, Riley Collins, and Travis Collins. Ripley and Nicolette were childhood friends who began dating when they were in middle school together. Everyone thought that they would be together forever. That seemed like it was going to be the case, until Nicolette became pregnant with twins. Apparently Ripley wasn't ready for that, and he broke things off with her. As they hadn't been married at the time, Nick has her last name, and by the time that the twins came along, Ripley and Nicolette were no longer together. Nick holds resentment towards the twins since he sees them as the reason his father is no longer in the picture. When they entered college, Riley and Travis lived on campus - in separate dorms, of course. However, once they graduated they decided to move into an apartment together. Riley wanted to move far away from their hometown, but Travis wanted to stay nearby. They were going to split up eventually, but Riley decided that she'd stay in their hometown, at least for the time being. She was planning on moving out May 2007, one year after graduation, but she is now waiting until she gets another job.
Scott Archer - Scott is one of Travis's best friends. He's known him since he was a Sophomore in high school. They played a lot of sports together and got along really well. Though JJ was still his best friend, Scott was Travis's best friend at school. One night when drunk, he was tricked by Ashley into making out briefly with Scott. He found that out a few days later when he developed the film. At first, he was unable to be around Scott, but has since gotten past it, attributing it to them all being drunk (and Scott and Ashley being high as well). Madeline Baker - Travis knows her as Fletcher's girlfriend and his girlfriend's friend. He knew her before from college parties, and he was also scared of her. Now that she's mellowed out, he still finds her a bit intimidating, but he feels a little more comfortable about her. Knows that Fletcher has cheated on her and wonders if he should tell her. Cassandra Davis - One of Micah's roommates. Travis knows her from hanging out with Micah and the girls at Micah's place. He's happy that she and Micah are dating now and hopes that the relationship lasts. He appreciates the fact that she tries to make things comfortable for him when he goes over to Micah's. Linda Davis - He knows she's Cassie's mom from when she comes to the Photo Studio to see Micah, but he hasn't really spoken to her yet. Michel Decker - Originally he knew him as his history teacher in school. After he graduated his mom dated him for a short period of time. As far as he knows they are only friends at this point. While Michel was dating his mom, Travis was indecisive about whether he wanted Michel to be his father and whether he felt upset that someone was trying to take his dad's place. Leon Doherty - Travis met him when he came into the Photo Studio. The two got talking about cameras and they hit it off instantly. He is looking forward to when they can get together to take apart cameras. Leon was one of the people who helped him to begin getting jobs as a wedding photographer. Cadissy Dresden - Knows her since she is friends with his mother. He enjoys chatting with her when he sees her around and has become comfortable with her through Nicolette. Malachai Dresden - Knows Mal since his mother knows Mal's mother. Also, because his friends Scott Archer and Fletcher Montgomery are really good friends with him. Fionnegan Gallagher - Travis offered to help him when he spotted the poor guy trying to lug his furniture into his new apartment in all by himself. How could Travis have just walked by Fionn was struggling? They had a good time afterwards eating pizza and drinking beer. Travis thinks the guy is really nice and looks forward to hanging out with him again. Oliver Gordon - Oliver is a fairly frequent customer at Photo Studio. Travis thinks the guy is very cool and likable, even if he doesn't really know him outside of the studio. Oliver - or as Travis is used to referring to him, 'Mr. Gordon' - seems to have the perfect family. It's a family that Travis wishes he could have grown up in, and a family that he hopes to have one day. Ashley Hodge - Travis barely knew her when Scott talked him into photographing her. While he felt awkward around her at first, rum helped him to unwind. The night ended with Ashley and Travis fooling around in the bedroom. He was a little upset when he saw her a few days later and found out that it was just fooling around and nothing was to come of it. Once she moved in with Scott, he got to know her better and feel more comfortable around her. Dana Jenkins - Travis knows her from the Photo Studio and also from when he hangs out with Micah and the girls at Micah's place. He thinks she seems pretty nice, but is wary with dealing with her. He prefers to let her start the conversations so he knows she's up to talking. Despite that fact, when they do talk, they have a great time. Tim Jenkins - Met him when he was having breakfast at the Pancake House and Tim needed a place to sit. Since JJ has left, Travis has found himself looking for another father-type figure and thinks that maybe Tim might fit that. Jeffrey Lewis - Micah's dad. Travis met him when Micah was in the hospital after his car accident. Travis thinks the man is very scary and intimidating. Jeffrey's made him fear that meeting his dad might be just as uncomfortable, nerve-wracking, and disappointing. He hopes the man is warmer to Micah. Micah Lewis - Travis works at the Photo Studio with him. As he's serious about photography, he likes that Micah is also serious about it. However, Micah's passion and intensity for photography is a bit intimidating and makes him feel like he's not really up to Micah's level. He enjoys speaking to Micah though and hangs out with him now and then. They were childhood friends, but lost contact once Micah started high school. Adela Martinez - He met her when they were both in JJ and Geri's wedding. They had fun at the reception and they have seen eachother at Sullivan gatherings, but they have never hung out with just the two of them. Josephine McConnell - Travis met her from working at the Photo Studio and The Wheelhouse Diner. He thinks she seems really nice, but he's pretty uncomfortable around her due to her actions and comments to him. He's not sure what to make of her yet. Brian Miller - Met him at Cassie's birthday party. At first he found his outspokenness to be a little intimidating, but once he was tipsy, he found the guy hilarious. Charlotte Miller - His friend Scott's sister. He first knew her from when he was little, because she dated his friend/babysitter. Since he and Scott were close in age, Charlotte and JJ would bring the them out to different places together. Fletcher Montgomery - Travis met Fletcher when he went off to college and he joined the fraternity that Fletcher was in. At first he was nervous about how crazy and outgoing Fletcher was. But the more Travis got to know him, the more he liked Fletcher. Fletcher helped him to open up a little and enjoy his college days. He also introduced him to liquor. Gabriel Parker - Travis doesn't like Gabriel. Part of it has to do with how condescending the man is with the people in Pleasant Port. In particular, he has a problem with the way that Gabriel has treated JJ. Ariel Reed - When Travis first met Ariel, he thought she seemed pretty nice. However, that feeling increased once she began to bake him things. At first he felt bad taking them, but he soon realized that he was doing her a favor by trying things out. After that point, he didn't mind trying out her recipes. In fact, he loves the way she cooks and looks forward to the times when she has something for him to eat. While he won't harrass her for things, he does appreciate it. After an awkward night in April together (along with her ex-girlfriend), they are dating. Henry Rodriguez - The man lives in his building. At first, Travis was scared of him because he looked intimidating. However, Riley soon showed him that the guy was really nice. Now the two share conversations when they see eachother around the building or town. Rylee Romsland - Travis met her when he helped Fletcher take her food shopping. He has sinced learned that she is the girl that Fletcher cheated on Maddy with. Jacqueline Sanders - Knows her from the Ocean View where he goes to hang out with Fletcher and also just to drink. He thinks she's probably one of the sweetest human beings, and loves chatting with her. Alexander Stone - One of Travis's teachers and one of JJ's friends. Travis always enjoyed the man's classes, though sometimes he became nervous when Alex would choose students who didn't have their hands raised. He's thankful that he didn't really get called on in that class though.
Jonathan Zimmerman - Travis really only knows him from seeing him a bit in church when they both used to go. He basically knows him as a guy his mother talks to. Ren Alden - One of Travis's frat brothers. Due to Ren's intelligence, Travis was sometimes tutored by him when they weren't partying. Natalie Boyd - He met her through Scott. He thought she was really sweet and enjoyed hanging out with her. In fact, in high school he developed a little crush on her, but never had the guts to tell her that. He appreciated the fact that she was always so accepting. However, when she decided to flirt with him, it made him uncomfortable - which is exactly what she was going for in a playful way. He missed her when she left and felt bad for Scott when Natalie stopped contact. He met back up with her in April 2007 when they were both in the grocery store, and he hopes that they can be friends again. Delilah Cabbot - Travis met her while he was on his way to the Pumpkin Festival on Halloween night. They ended up hanging out and then going to the adult dance at the festival together. When he had too much to drink, she let him crash at her place and even cooked him breakfast the next morning. He thinks that she's really sweet, beautiful, and funny. They were dating for around two months when they broke up. Kenyon Chang - One of Travis's frat brothers. Travis enjoy talking sports with him, even if he knew that Kenyon was way more into sports than he was. Farrah Covington - Travis doesn't really know her that well as she doesn't seem to usually be home when he goes over Micah's house. However, from what he does know of her, she makes him extremely uncomfortable. Elizabeth Hall - He knew her partially from the hospital when he visited JJ there. However, he got to know her better one morning when he and Scott were at the dog park. She needed her tire changed and Travis was more than happy to do it for her. As bad as he feels about it, Travis wishes his mom was more caring like Lily is. Zachary Hall - Lily's son. Travis got to know her a bit after he and Scott helped to change her tire. After the flood, Zach stayed at Travis's apartment. Travis thinks that Zach is a really nice guy, and hopes that sometime they can hang out without it seeming like they're only hanging out because he's Lily's son. Shaun Hamilton - One of Travis's frat brothers. Since they were in the same year, Travis probably found it easiest to speak to Shaun. Andrea Jenkins - Travis's boss at the Photo Studio. Being that she's so close to Dana and Micah, he usually feels like he's not as important or talented. While he does think she's a nice woman, he doesn't think he can meet her expectations. Haruka Palmer - Travis isn't sure what to make of her. She seemed really sweet. However, he doesn't understand what happened between him, her, and Ariel. It was enjoyable, but for him it just didn't feel natural and right. However, he does like her, and - since Ariel seemed to enjoy it - is willing to see how things go and what develops. He figured she just did it to get him and Ariel together, so he's thankful at least for that part. Since then he has been receiving gifts from her, which he thinks is really sweet. Max Perry - One of Travis's frat brothers. Since he was the pledgemaster, Travis found it a little harder to get comfortable speaking to Max than the others. John Sullivan - JJ babysat Travis and his siblings when they were younger. Travis thought it was cool to have an older male figure in his life. After all, his dad wasn't around and his older brother wanted nothing to do with him. Therefore, he took to John easily. He thought John was so cool, because the older boy was able to show him how to do cool things, like how to play rugby. To this day, Travis considers him one of his few true friends. In fact, Travis was even a groomsman at JJ's wedding. Travis was heartbroken when he moved away. Miles Winfield - Travis thinks the guy is intimidating and nice at the same time.
Sam Woodstoves - A neighbor of his. He chats with her when he sees her in the hallway. He's very embarrassed, because Riley isn't as polite with the woman. Travis enjoys his chats with Sam. John Sullivan: "I've known Travis for a long time now. I used to babysit him and his brother and twin sister. I really think of Travis as half my younger brother and half my son. He is one hundred percent my friend though. I love the kid." Geraldine Sullivan: "My Travi baby! I've known him for about seven years now and I feel like he is my little brother. He's just a doll! I love to watch him and my husband interact...SO CUTE! I hope any kids I have turn out as good as Travis did." Oliver Gordon: "Travis is too good to don't be into the church community. I know it sounds evil, but I have to drag him in there. It's not a selfish act, I mean... I'm sure God would thank me for this. After all, the church needs more guys like him". Scott Archer: "For a kid who had to repeat kindergarten, he's pretty smart." Fletcher Montgomery: "I'm waiting for the day he becomes famous, because I've got some blackmail photos." Leah Morgan: "Damn good lay, too bad he's such a asshole. I'd probably have sex with him more often." (she is actually talking about Fletcher who told her his name was Travis) Dana Jenkins: "He probably thinks I hate him, which I don't. I just don't like talking to anyone at work." Elizabeth Hall: "Such a kind young man. Bit quiet..but beneath that I can tell he's got a heart of gold, and I'm so grateful to him for opening that heart to me on a day I needed a little extra help." Ashley Hodge: "He's a friend of Scotties. I think he's supposed to take my picture sometime. Seems really nice, kind of shy. I should introduce him to Maddy." Nicolette Collins: "I'm glad I raised him to be a considerate and polite young man. I just wish he had more confidence." Ariel Reed: "Um...he's my friend. My recipe guinea pig. And so... Well. He's my friend. I trust his judgment completely. And he's... Why are you asking me again?"
Riley Collins: "He's a dork. Hey, I have to say it. He might be taller than me, but he's still my little brother." Activities: Taking photos, hiking, fishing.
